No. The inbox is a local demonstration with a sample address, fictional messages, and a browser countdown. It does not create a receiving mailbox or contact a mail API. Do not submit its sample address to a real signup form.
What does “5 minute mail” mean?
It describes a short-lived email concept. A live provider’s address lifetime, message lifetime, access rules, and deletion policy can differ. This site demonstrates a five-minute interface and explains the questions to ask before using a live service.
What happens when the countdown reaches zero?
The demo switches to its expired state and disables active-session controls. New demo address begins again. This changes only the local sample view; it does not erase real email or prove a server-side deletion policy.
Is temporary email the same as an email alias?
Not necessarily. A temporary inbox may provide short-lived access to messages, while a forwarding alias routes mail to another inbox. Compare the destination, lifetime, controls, and recovery arrangements in the email alias guide.
Is a temporary inbox anonymous or secure?
